These active professionals were looking to remodel their Mission Hills canyon home built in the 1980's. The home is tucked away at the end of a quiet street with ocean views and tall Eucalyptus trees. The goal for the renovation was to open the home up, build a connection with nature and let the natural light flow. White oak is an anchoring material throughout the home that helps keep things light and bright. A two-story wall of 3-dimensional concrete tiles and a pivoting glass door mark the entry. Bi-folding cantina doors and oversized sliders open to the generous terrace overlooking the canyon. Obscured glass throughout helps create privacy without the need for window coverings.
